This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected across the websites and projects operated by Miguel Makes, LLC dba Michael Makes, LLC ("we", "us"). The short version: very little data is collected, nothing is sold, and no personal information is used to train AI models.

This website and portfolio
- No personal data is collected
- No email addresses are collected
- No accounts are offered
- Basic analytics are recorded to understand general visitor behavior, such as which pages are viewed, the referring source, and a general device type. This information is not used to identify individuals.
- A private portfolio area is protected by a password and shared selectively. No email addresses are collected there.
- The AI portfolio assistant in the private area is powered by Google Gemini. Questions are sent to the model to generate an answer, and conversation content is not stored.
Civic Health Hub
- You can create an account using an email address and a password
- A ZIP code can be saved to your account
- Your ZIP code is used with AI research tools, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, to gather and summarize civic health information
- Your information is never used as internal training data and is never sold
You may request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time by contacting michaelaco@proton.me.
Plaintext Policy

- A policy name, link, or reference that you submit is processed with AI, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, to produce a plain-language version

- Your progress is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device, not on a server

Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party providers, including AI model providers such as Google Gemini and Perplexity, plus hosting and database infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the feature. No personal information is sold or shared for advertising.
Data security and retention
Where any information is stored (currently only Civic Health Hub accounts), reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect it, and it is kept only as long as needed to provide the feature or until you request deletion.
Cookies and local storage
These sites do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Limited browser storage is used where needed, such as keeping you signed in on Civic Health Hub and saving progress on Mindful Action Agenda.
Children's privacy
These sites are not directed at children under 13, and information from children is not knowingly collected.
Your choices
You can browse the public sites without providing any personal information. Where an account exists, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
